Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments via telehealth and in-person encounters to determine acuity levels
- Implement evidence-based triage protocols using Epic EHR systems
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care teams for critical patient pathways
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with Joint Commission standards
- Mentor junior staff on advanced triage methodologies
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana RN license with unrestricted privileges
- BSN or higher degree from accredited institution
- 5+ years ED/urgent care experience with triage specialization
- ENPC or TNCC certification required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and telehealth platforms
- Demonstrated crisis management and critical decision-making skills
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric triage protocols
