Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections across all age groups
- Process and label specimens following strict CLIA/CAP protocols
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control standards
- Verify patient identity and collect medical histories
- Operate automated analyzers and point-of-care testing equipment
- Document procedures in electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with lab technologists for specimen integrity
Qualifications
- Current Indiana Phlebotomy Technician certification (or eligible)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in fast-paced setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in HIPAA compliance protocols
- Exceptional venipuncture skills with minimal callbacks
- Ability to multitask in high-volume environments
- Strong communication skills for diverse patient interactions
- Experience with LIS/EHR systems preferred
