Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Prioritize cases based on acuity and allocate resources efficiently
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists for complex case management
- Utilize Epic EMR for accurate documentation and care coordination
- Mentor junior staff and maintain departmental quality standards
- Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California with 3+ years ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- BSN or higher degree preferred
- Expertise in rapid assessment protocols and triage algorithms
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Experience with telehealth triage platforms
- Spanish bilingualism highly desirable
