Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using ESI protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient flow
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EHR systems
- Provide telephone triage services for ambulatory patients
- Implement emergency response protocols for critical situations
- Oversee patient education and discharge planning processes
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and CMS standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state)
- 3+ years ED/urgent care experience
- ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN preferred; ADN with relevant experience considered
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience with ESI 5-level triage methodology
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
