Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize care based on acuity level using established protocols
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure seamless patient flow
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation for all patient interactions
- Provide telehealth triage services for remote patients while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with case managers to coordinate patient care transitions and discharge planning
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
- Mentor new staff and contribute to departmental training programs
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona with minimum 3 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with relevant experience considered)
- Proficient in Epic EMR systems and telehealth platforms
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Experience with mass casualty incident protocols preferred
