Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor Vitals: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Mobility: Help patients move safely from bed to chair or wheelchair, and assist with ambulation using walkers or canes as necessary.
- Maintain Hygiene: Change linens, assist with personal hygiene, and ensure the patient's environment is clean and organized.
- Communicate with Team: Report changes in patient condition, mood, or behavior to the nursing staff and physicians immediately.
- Document Care: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs as required by facility standards.
- Administer Medications: Under supervision, assist with the administration of prescribed medications and treatments.
Qualifications
- Current CNA License: Must possess a valid and active Certified Nursing Assistant license in the State of Florida.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks related to patient care.
- Compassion: Genuine compassion and a desire to help others are essential for this role.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
