Responsibilities
- Assess incoming patient calls and symptoms to determine the urgency of medical needs.
- Provide expert medical advice and triage instructions according to established protocols.
- Coordinate patient referrals to appropriate healthcare providers or facilities.
- Document patient interactions and medical histories accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining a professional and empathetic demeanor.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a triage or urgent care setting.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, sound clinical decisions.
