Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal preparation based on specific dietary restrictions.
- Administer medication and monitor health changes in accordance with care plans.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to improve the client's quality of life.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, social outings, and grocery shopping.
- Document daily care logs and communicate important updates to the nursing team promptly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid North Carolina driver's license and reliable transportation.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (we provide training!).
- Ability to lift and move patients weighing up to 50 lbs safely.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience in home health or caregiving is a significant plus.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
