Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits to ensure accurate billing.
- Submit and follow up on medical claims to insurance carriers (Commercial and Government).
- Review and analyze denial letters to identify root causes and resubmit claims.
- Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely collections.
- Process payments and post transactions to patient accounts accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and billing documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Billing, or a related field is a plus.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to obtain necessary certifications upon completion of training.
