Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Monitor vital signs and document health observations accurately
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities
- Assist with medication reminders and light housekeeping duties
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social outings
- Maintain strict confidentiality and follow HIPAA compliance protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional home health aide or caregiver experience
- Current California HHA certification or CNA license required
- Valid California driver's license and reliable vehicle
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass thorough background check and TB screening
- Excellent communication skills and empathy for elderly clients
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with transfers
- Fluency in English (Spanish bilingual preferred)
