Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Monitor and accurately report changes in the client's health, mood, or behavior to the supervising nurse.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social activities.
- Administer medication as directed by the supervising nurse or physician.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness.
- Assist with transfers and mobility using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Home Health Aide certification or CNA license is preferred.
- Current valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on empathy and patience.
- Ability to lift and assist patients with mobility limitations safely.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to pass a background check and drug screen.
