Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, and light exercises to ensure client safety.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in a client's physical or mental condition to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry as needed.
- Offer companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management under supervision.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and social outings, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Qualifications
- CNA or HHA certification is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a patient demeanor.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve the lives of the elderly or disabled.
