Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the supervising nurse.
- Prepare meals and assist clients with feeding as needed, adhering to specific dietary requirements.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and community outings.
- Administer medication reminders and document care provided accurately in the electronic health record.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to enhance their quality of life.
- Ensure the client's safety by removing hazards and assisting with mobility (walking, transferring) as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and assist patients (up to 50 lbs) safely.
- Compassionate demeanor with a patient and respectful attitude.
