Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on specific dietary needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to improve their quality of life.
- Administer medication reminders and accurately document daily logs and observations.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social activities.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client’s physical or mental condition to the nursing supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is strongly preferred.
- Current, valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation are required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic health record documentation.
