Job Summary

As a Home Health Aide, you will provide personal care and assistance to patients in the comfort of their own homes, ensuring they live with dignity and comfort.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment for patients.
  • Monitor patients' physical and emotional condition, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing supervisor immediately.
  • Assist with mobility, including transferring patients to and from beds or chairs using proper lifting techniques.
  • Administer medication reminders and accurately document care logs and vital signs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
