Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws with precision and patient comfort in mind.
- Label, process, and transport blood specimens to the laboratory efficiently.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and provide a positive, calming experience during procedures.
- Update and manage patient records and documentation accurately.
- Assist with inventory management of blood collection supplies.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
