Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene.
- Mobility Support: Help patients move in and out of bed, walk, or use assistive devices safely.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions.
- Medication Reminders: Monitor and remind clients to take prescribed medications.
- Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage in social activities with clients.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient health status, including temperature and blood pressure.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma: or GED equivalent required.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- State License: Valid Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in home health or geriatric care preferred.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
- Reliability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for client travel.
