Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Medication Management: Provide timely reminders and assist with medication administration as directed by the Registered Nurse.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals tailored to the client’s dietary needs and preferences.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and social activities to promote mental well-being and reduce isolation.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by performing light cleaning tasks.
- Health Monitoring: Observe client behavior and report any changes in physical or mental condition to the supervising nursing staff immediately.
- Transportation: Assist with non-medical transportation to medical appointments or social outings when required.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must hold a current and valid Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or state license.
- CPR/First Aid: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to document care accurately.
- Driving: Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle are required.
- Experience: Prior experience in home care or long-term care is preferred but not strictly required for the right candidate.
