Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with feeding if necessary.
- Provide medication reminders and monitor clients for any adverse reactions or changes in health status.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry and cleaning, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social outings using a reliable vehicle.
- Document daily care activities and report any concerns or emergencies to the nursing supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) license in the state of California.
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to perform caregiving duties, including lifting and assisting clients.
