Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene to maintain dignity and hygiene.
- Meal Assistance: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and assist clients during meal times.
- Medication Reminders: Prompt clients to take prescribed medications at scheduled times.
- Mobility Support: Help patients walk, transfer, and move safely using transfer techniques to prevent injury.
- Household Tasks: Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and errands as assigned to keep the client's environment safe and clean.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and recreational activities to combat loneliness and improve mental well-being.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and report changes in client condition, mood, or behavior to the nursing supervisor.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, active Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or personal care is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- CPR/First Aid: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Driver’s License: Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact respectfully with clients and families.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
