Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene to ensure personal comfort and hygiene.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take medications and report any missed doses or side effects to the supervising nurse.
- Household Assistance: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and cleaning to maintain a safe and sanitary living environment.
- Mobility Support: Help clients move safely from bed to wheelchair or assist with walking using assistive devices.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse, as directed.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful conversation and recreational activities.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social outings.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Certification: Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification required. CNA license is a plus.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
- CPR/First Aid: Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help others.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
