As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential personal care and companionship to our patients in the comfort of their own homes. We value patience, empathy, and reliability above all else.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on time and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation, play games, or accompany clients on walks to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning tasks, including laundry and meal preparation, to ensure a safe and healthy living environment.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Monitor and record patient temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure as directed.
- Transportation: Provide safe transportation to medical appointments and errands as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or state certification.
- Experience: Prior experience in home care or healthcare setting is preferred but not always required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license and proof of insurance are required.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- CPR/First Aid: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate demeanor.
