Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain a safe living environment.
- Medication reminders and monitoring for any changes in physical or mental condition.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and assist with mobility using walkers or wheelchairs.
- Document daily care logs and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or case manager.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
- CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or HHA (Home Health Aide) certification is preferred but not required for qualified candidates.
- Valid driverβs license and reliable transportation are required.
- CPR and First Aid certification (training provided if not already certified).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable work ethic.
