Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs, fluid intake, and daily activities accurately.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to patients to improve their quality of life.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Communicate any changes in patient condition or concerns to the nursing staff promptly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; CNA or HHA certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated patience, compassion, and attention to detail.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical ability to lift, stand, and assist patients for extended periods.
