Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and assist with medication administration as directed by the RN.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities to promote mental well-being.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social outings as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient care logs and progress notes.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and valid California Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Licensure: Valid CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Background: Clean background check and drug screening results.
- Driver's License: Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or caregiving preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
