Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and report any changes in condition or side effects to the supervising nurse.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging them in conversation and social activities to reduce isolation.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Check and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature as directed.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and tidying up.
- Transportation: Assist with transportation to medical appointments or errands as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Texas Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health, caregiving, or a related healthcare field is preferred but not required for immediate starters.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
