Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor vital signs, weight, and general physical condition to report changes to the nursing supervisor.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to strict protocols.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation as needed to maintain a safe living environment.
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities when necessary.
- Document daily care logs and incident reports accurately and timely.
Qualifications
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or completion of a state-approved training program.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
