Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor patient health status and report any changes or concerns to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Assist with light meal preparation, feeding, and medication reminders (as trained).
- Transport patients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for the patient.
- Document daily care activities and progress in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is a plus but not required for immediate hire (training available).
- Current, valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
- Strong communication skills and a patient demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to perform caregiving duties, including lifting and assisting patients.
