Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with medication reminders and monitor patients for any changes in health status.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks related to patient care.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients to improve their quality of life.
- Transport patients to medical appointments, social activities, and community events.
- Document daily care logs and report any concerns or changes to the supervising nurse.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for all clients in your care.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Current State of Pennsylvania Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation are required.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift, bend, and assist patients as needed.
