As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential personal care and support to clients in their homes, ensuring they maintain the highest quality of life. We pride ourselves on our supportive work environment and our commitment to employee growth and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help clients with eating, walking, and transferring safely.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and report any changes in health to the supervising nurse.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation and social activities to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning tasks such as laundry, dishwashing, and tidying the client's living space to ensure a safe environment.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record blood pressure, pulse, and temperature as directed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Washington State Home Care Aide (HCA) certification or equivalent (CNA/PCA) is required.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required for this position.
- CPR/First Aid: Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: A genuine, patient, and caring demeanor towards elderly and disabled clients.
