Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with feeding as required.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to prevent isolation.
- Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry and cleaning the client's living space.
- Monitor client health and report any changes in physical condition or mood to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social outings.
- Assist with mobility and transfer patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or cars using proper body mechanics.
Qualifications
- Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is highly preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient and caring demeanor.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Must pass a background check, drug screen, and health screening.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
