Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as eating, walking, and toileting.
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing staff.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and accompany them on walks for exercise.
- Administer medications as prescribed and directed by the supervising nurse.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to ensure patients feel comfortable and secure.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current state certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is highly preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- CPR and First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, caring demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
