Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their prescribed medications on time and in the correct dosage.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support, engage clients in conversation, and organize social activities.
- Housing Assistance: Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a safe environment.
- Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in client health, mood, or behavior to the nursing supervisor.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or errands as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Valid New Jersey Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or caregiving is a plus but not always required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Driving: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
