Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility, transferring, and walking using proper body mechanics.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping to ensure a safe living environment.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social activities.
- Administer medication as directed by the supervising nurse.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to clients to improve their quality of life.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Current, valid certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are mandatory for travel between client homes.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
