Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Medication Reminders: Monitor and remind clients to take prescribed medications at scheduled times.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients, including meal preparation and laundry.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation and social activities to reduce isolation and improve the client's emotional well-being.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately record and report vital signs such as weight, temperature, and pulse to the nursing team.
- Transportation Support: Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or community outings as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Certification: Current Alaska Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Licensure: Valid state license to practice as a Home Health Aide.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care, geriatric care, or a related healthcare field is preferred but not always required.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills and a genuine, compassionate personality.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods and assist with patient transfers.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
