Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their medications at the prescribed times and report any missed doses or side effects to the supervisor.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to special dietary requirements and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients, including laundry and light cleaning.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful conversations, hobbies, and recreational activities to combat loneliness.
- Mobility Assistance: Help clients move safely from bed to chair or walk around the home as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Certification: Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is highly preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for helping seniors and individuals in need.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
