Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with daily living activities such as light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Monitor patient health status and report any changes or concerns to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Administer medication reminders and document care logs accurately and timely.
- Foster a positive, engaging environment by providing companionship and emotional support.
- Adhere to all state regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and company policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required; CNA or HHA certification is highly preferred.
- Valid California Driver's License and proof of insurance.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for patient care.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and lift patients (up to 50 lbs) when necessary.
