Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary restrictions.
- Administer medication reminders and document daily intake accurately.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and errands to maintain a safe environment.
- Transport patients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social activities.
- Monitor patient health status and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid New Jersey Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Current, valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift, move, and transfer patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong communication skills and a patient, compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
