Your Mission: As a Home Health Aide with BrightStar Care, you will provide essential personal care services and companionship to our clients. You will be their advocate, ensuring they maintain their dignity and independence while receiving the highest standard of care.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their prescribed medications at the scheduled times.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals that adhere to the client's dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for the client.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Monitor and report any changes in the client's physical or emotional condition to the nursing supervisor.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required. A current Nevada Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care is a plus but not always required for the right candidate.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
- Licensure: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods. Must be able to assist with transfers and mobility.
- CPR/First Aid: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
