Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Provide compassionate support with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Medication Reminders: Prompt clients to take medications as prescribed and accurately document administration.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and assist with feeding if required.
- Companionship & Activities: Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and light exercise to promote mental well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment by doing laundry, changing linens, and light cleaning.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or local errands.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in California.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in home care or personal care preferred.
- Training: Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and provide proof of a negative TB test.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
