Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring to and from beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers using proper body mechanics.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide updates on patient status and concerns.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infections and ensure a therapeutic atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in the State of California.
- Previous experience in a Night Shift setting is highly preferred but not required for exceptional candidates.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient advocacy and privacy.
- Reliable transportation to and from the healthcare facility.
