Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Help clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their prescribed medications and assist with administration if certified.
- Monitoring: Observe and report changes in a patient's physical condition or behavior to the supervising nurse.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation and social activities to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Assist with light cleaning tasks, meal preparation, and laundry to ensure a safe living environment.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments or run errands as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Certification: Current Louisiana CNA or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is required.
- Experience: Prior experience in home health or personal care is a plus.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, patience, and a genuine passion for helping others.
