Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and package prescription medications for patients.
- Assist pharmacists with the dispensing process, including verifying orders and checking for drug interactions.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Verify patient insurance information and process payments.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries and resolving issues professionally.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain a safe and organized pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (ExCPT) or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new pharmacy software systems.
