Responsibilities
Process and verify prescriptions with precision, ensuring accuracy in dosage, drug interactions, and patient information.
Prepare and package medications for dispensing, including compounding and sterile compounding as required.
Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels to ensure pharmaceutical products are always available.
Assist pharmacists with clinical tasks, including medication therapy management (MTM) and immunizations.
Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries and resolving medication-related issues.
Adhere to all state and federal regulations, including OSHA and HIPAA guidelines, to ensure patient privacy and safety.
Qualifications
Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
Current Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration or ability to obtain one.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software (e.g., Cerner, Rx30).
