Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation and light housekeeping.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in the patient's condition to the nursing staff.
- Administer medication as directed by the supervising nurse.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Transport patients to medical appointments or therapy sessions when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
- Current Louisiana Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
