Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental well-being.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping duties, including meal preparation and laundry, to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Medication Reminders: Prompt clients to take prescribed medications at the scheduled times.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments or errands as needed.
- Reporting: Accurately document daily care activities and report any changes in the client's condition to the care team immediately.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or hospital settings is a plus but not mandatory.
- License: Valid Driver's License and current auto insurance required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and transfer patients up to 50 lbs; good physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Soft Skills: Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a genuine desire to help others.
