Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Light housekeeping and laundry duties related to patient care.
- Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and provide transportation assistance.
- Administer medication reminders and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not always required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Candidates must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to complete state-mandated training and certification courses.
