Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet specific dietary needs.
- Administer medication reminders and accurately document care logs in electronic health records.
- Provide vital companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, and maintaining a safe living environment.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics to prevent injury.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and nursing staff regarding patient status and concerns.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- CNA or HHA Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain certification within 6 months).
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Pass a thorough criminal background check, drug screening, and TB test.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
