Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet specific dietary needs.
- Provide medication reminders and document administration logs accurately.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and social activities.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a safe and sanitary living environment.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in the client's physical or mental condition to the registered nurse.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or PCA (Patient Care Assistant) certification is a plus but not strictly required.
- Current, valid Driver's License and reliable personal transportation.
- Must pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and TB test.
- Physically capable of lifting and transferring patients (up to 50 lbs) and performing bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a genuine, empathetic nature.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
