Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their medications at scheduled times and report any missed doses or side effects to the nurse.
- Companionship: Provide social engagement and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness.
- Vital Monitoring: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as weight, temperature, and pulse, as directed.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, meal preparation, and cleaning, to ensure a safe living environment.
- Transportation: Drive clients to and from medical appointments, social activities, and shopping trips.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in home care, nursing, or caregiving is highly valued.
- License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to follow instructions.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods; physical ability to assist patients with mobility.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
